Connection
Updated:
1. Sign the Agreements in Rithmic Trader Pro (RTrader Pro)
Why This Step Is Required
Rithmic requires you to review and sign several electronic agreements (risk disclosures, data usage, and routing agreements) before any third-party platform can establish a live data or trading connection. If these agreements are not accepted, the connection from DeepCharts will either fail or remain in a "not authorized" state — even if your credentials are correct.
Professional vs. Non-Professional Status
During the agreement signing process, Rithmic will ask you to declare your market data status. It is important to understand the difference before selecting:
Professional
Applies to licensed financial advisors, analysts, or anyone using market data for business or institutional purposes
Subject to higher exchange fees
Non-Professional
Applies to individual retail traders using data for personal trading only
Subject to lower exchange fees
Recommended for most DeepCharts users
Note - For most retail traders, select Non-Professional. If you are unsure, consult your broker or a financial advisor before selecting Professional status.
Steps to Sign the Agreements
Download and install Rithmic Trader Pro (RTrader Pro) using the link provided after your purchase
On the login screen, enter the Rithmic username and password received from your DeepCharts dashboard
Select the correct System / Server — choose Rithmic Paper Trading
For Gateway, select the one nearest to your location, or choose Chicago (Global Server)
Click Login — the platform will automatically present any pending agreements and disclosures
When prompted for your market data status, select Non-Professional (unless you qualify as a professional)
Carefully read each agreement and click Accept until no further agreement windows appear
Once you reach the main RTrader Pro interface with no more prompts, you can close the platform

Note - You only need to repeat this process if your account is reset or if Rithmic introduces new mandatory agreements in the future.
2. Connecting DeepCharts via RTrader Pro Plugin
RTrader Pro acts as a data gateway between Rithmic and DeepCharts. When connected via the plugin, RTrader Pro pulls live data from Rithmic and feeds it directly into DeepCharts. This allows you to run multiple trading platforms simultaneously on the same Rithmic account without any session conflicts.
Step 1 – Setting Up RTrader Pro
Open RTrader Pro on your computer
On the login screen, enter your Rithmic credentials
Select Rithmic Paper Trading as the Server
Select your Gateway — choose the one nearest to your location or Chicago (Global Server)
Make sure Allow Plugins is turned ON before logging in
Click Login and keep RTrader Pro running in the background

Performance Settings
Once logged in, go to the top menu and click Preferences
Navigate to the Performance tab
Under Max Market Data Updates/Second, set both Quotes and Order Book sliders to No Max
. Make sure Adjust to keep up with market data inflow is checked
. Click OK

Note - Ensure this is set to No Max at all times. If the limit is set too low, you may experience data delays during high volatility market conditions where data inflow is significantly higher than usual.
Step 2 – Setting Up DeepCharts
Open DeepCharts and go to the connection/datafeed settings
Click Add Connection
Under Feed Source, select Rithmic - RAPI
Enter your Rithmic credentials
Select the same Server and Gateway you used in RTrader Pro
Scroll down to Advanced and enable Use RTrader Pro Plugin
Click Save and then Connect

Important: Both platforms must use the same Server and Gateway. Keep RTrader Pro open at all times while using DeepCharts — if you close it, DeepCharts will instantly lose its data connection.Still Having Trouble?
